How much equity do I need for a German mortgage?
Equity reduces the loan amount and affects the conditions. How much is needed depends on the individual case.
What counts as equity
- Balances on current, instant-access and fixed-term accounts
- Bauspar and savings balances
- Securities, where available
- A plot of land you already own
- Your own labour, to a limited extent
